Monsters, Magic and Mystery

We have just finished our fantastic book week themed ‘Monsters, Magic and Mystery.’ During book week we looked closely at the well-known story, Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. 

 

Our Ladybird Hunt!

At the moment there are harlequin ladybirds all over! We decided to take a closer look and collect some harlequin ladybirds for our bug hotel!

World Book Day 2014

For World Book Day 2014 the school's theme was nonsense poems. We all had to dress up in fancy dress!

Tennis

In 3/4R we are lucky enough to be having professional tennis coaching with Dave Croft!

Geography

In Geography we are learning about the Caribbean. In our first lesson we used the Ipads to find out the location of the Caribbean and to look at some of the islands a little closer!

Gymnastics

Look at our amazing gymnastics!

READ FOR MY SCHOOL 2014

The children in 3/4R are taking part in the national ‘READ FOR MY SCHOOL’ competition. During this time we are encouraging the children to read as many books as they can, in and outside of school. The Duke of Kent

(7.11.13) Today, we were lucky enough to see the Duke of Kent landing on Shuttleworth’s playing field. It was very exciting, the pilot of the helicopter waved at us and flew close to the fence so we could take a good look at the helicopter. Here are some photos of what we saw!

Christmas Fun

At Christmas we all made elf hats to wear during our Christmas lunch. As you can see below we had lots of fun!

Dressing up day 2013 BEWARE!!

On the last day of our first half term in 3/4R we dressed up to celebrate the end of our book week!

The theme was monsters, magic and mystery.

Electricity
