Happy Summer everyone!

I just want to say a BIG thank you for making my first year at PPS a fantastic one. Even though it has been tough, especially with all the online learning, I have throughly enjoyed it. Every single child in 5B is an absolute star and you should all be so proud of them.

Myself and Mrs Knightley will miss you all but we are looking forward to seeing you grow in Year 6.

We would just like to say thank you for all the gifts and cards that we received. It wasn’t needed at all but we do appreciate it!

Have a fabulous break everyone; you all deserve it.

See you in September, Miss Brennan x

Happy Easter everyone! Well done on all your hard work this term, you have done really well! Congratulations to Thomas and Olivia who won our Easter egg competition this week. 🐣 Also, huge congratulations to all of the children in 5B. We came 2nd place out of the whole school in the TTRS competition last week!! Finally, well done to Katherine who throughly deserves the shooting star award this week! Her work has been amazing and she tried super hard throughout online learning. We will see you all in two weeks...

SELF ISOLATING

If you are self isolating please have a look at the links that are on this page.

In maths we are completing the statistics topic.  I have attached the link under this post with all the statistic worksheets.

In English, we are starting to write our own scene from Macbeth based on the play.  You could watch the children's version of Macbeth (link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/english-ks2-macbeth/zdt42sg) and write your favourite scene in your own words.

If you have any issues then please email me.

Miss Brennan

Please complete these statistic worksheets if you are self isolating.

LITERACY SHED

The free part of the site has a range of great video clips which can be used to support writing. They have videos covering a wide range of topics which can be used in a variety of ways.

Simply search 'https://www.literacyshedplus.com/en-gb/' and click on the free resources.  After, click on KS2 activity pack and watch the video and answer the questions attached to each video.

CLASS DOJO

Your child has recently been given a login for Class Dojo.  Please can you make sure that you have logged in (we are still waiting for 8 parents).  Class Dojo is a really useful tool, it is the easiest way in which you can contact me and you can have a look at what we have been doing in class.

If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to email me and I'll reply as soon as possible :)

This week we have been learning about graphs. Today, the children enjoyed being slightly naughty and drew all over the tables!

100% attendance!

Shooting Star 🌟

All hail Macbeth!

Over the last couple of weeks, 5B have been learning about Ernest Shackleton and his amazing adventure to Antartica. On the display, we have framed some of the children's diary entries and their amazing artwork!

🌟Congratulations to Jamie H for being the shooting star this week in 5B🌟

⭐️ Shooting stars!! ⭐️

Congratulations to Evie Turner and Kaden Powell for winning the shooting star award in 5B for the last couple of weeks.

They are both role models to the rest of the class and we are very lucky to have them in 5B.

I wonder will impress us this week? 🌟

PE

Our PE time is going to be every Tuesday afternoon.  Please make sure your child has a PE bag in school with a top, shorts and pumps in.

It is imperative that every item has your child's name in to avoid items getting lost or misplaced.

Thank you.
