EYFS:

At Padiham Primary School we understand that embedding Geographical Knowledge from a young age is very important to ensure progression throughout school.

This includes nurturing an understanding of the children's place in the world and their role in it.

The children in reception begin to understand  that there are different countries and talk about their differences.  They begin to use positional language and describe familiar routes. The children also draw information from a simple maps and use positional language when describing them.
