Examples of Outdoor Learning

Year 3 and 4 had an amazing day out with Alison Cross from the Ernest Cook Trust. The children completed lots of exciting outdoor activities.

As part of their geography and orienteering, 3/4R went outside to look at the human and physical features within our school grounds.

The children throughout have been using our outdoor area more frequently, look at some of their wonderful outdoor crafts below.

Each year, our Year 4 children take a residential camping trip to Waddow Hall. Whilst at Waddow, the children participate in several outdoor activities.

Some of our year 5 and 6 children have been lucky enough to participate in fishing recently it has been a wonderful way to get the children outdoors.

Our Reception, Year 3s and 4s visited Wildwoods, they had a wonderful time participating in forest schools activities.

What has been happening in Geography at Padiham Primary School?

Recently, our Year 5s and 6s have teamed up with The Ernest Cook Trust Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership Scheme to help develop a local 'Treasure Trail' at Gawthorpe Hall. The children enjoyed visiting another local trail in Barrowford to help them design their own at Gawthorpe Hall. The children are very excited to see the final trail which will be completed in March.
