Seaside adventure

This week we are moving on from space and are visiting the seaside. We are going to explore seaside holidays in the past and seaside holidays now. We will explore different places in the world to go on holiday and how we might get there. The children will be able to dress up and take themselves off on a holiday....I wonder where they will go. Did you know we even have an ice cream shop in class?

Ice cream is just what we need whilst Mr Sun is outsmiley

Our space adventure

To continue our topic of space, the children have been very busy designing and creating their own rockets. We have learnt what it would be like to visit space, just like the astronaut Neil Armstrong. Did you know there is no gravity in space? The children have loved pretending to move around like there is no gravity on planet Earth.

The children have even written lists of all the things they would like to take to space. To end such a lovely topic on space, we decided to make stars out of salt dough. The children carefully mixed the ingredients and then used a template to create their star.

What a busy week we have had!
