We have just finished our fantastic book week themed ‘Monsters, Magic and Mystery.’ During book week we looked closely at the well-known story, Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg.
At the moment there are harlequin ladybirds all over! We decided to take a closer look and collect some harlequin ladybirds for our bug hotel!
For World Book Day 2014 the school's theme was nonsense poems. We all had to dress up in fancy dress!
In 3/4R we are lucky enough to be having professional tennis coaching with Dave Croft!
In Geography we are learning about the Caribbean. In our first lesson we used the Ipads to find out the location of the Caribbean and to look at some of the islands a little closer!
The children in 3/4R are taking part in the national ‘READ FOR MY SCHOOL’ competition. During this time we are encouraging the children to read as many books as they can, in and outside of school. The books can either be printed copies or E-books read online. Further details about 'READ FOR MY SCHOOL' and a range of free E-books can be found on: www.readformyschool.co.uk
(7.11.13) Today, we were lucky enough to see the Duke of Kent landing on Shuttleworth’s playing field. It was very exciting, the pilot of the helicopter waved at us and flew close to the fence so we could take a good look at the helicopter. Here are some photos of what we saw!
On the last day of our first half term in 3/4R we dressed up to celebrate the end of our book week!
The theme was monsters, magic and mystery.
In science we have just finished our topic on electricity. Here are some of our photos from one of the experiments we undertook to test conductors of electricity.
