I am really excited about the forthcoming year and have been delighted to meet my new class. This term we have lots of exciting things to come.
Our school councillor was elected today and I am pleased to announce that Charlotte Flynn will be representing 3S over the year. Well done, Charlotte!
Just a few reminders:

Reading books will be sent home each night. Please feel free to listen to your child read and make a comment in their reading records. Please could you ensure your child brings in their book everyday as we use it in our Guided Reading lessons.
Homework will be set every Friday but does not need to be returned until the following Thursday.
Spellings will also be sent home on Friday and a test will take place the following week.
Please come in and talk to me if there is anything you would like to discuss.
I am thoroughly committed to ensuring your child feels welcome and enjoys their work throughout Year 3.
Many thanks

World War 1
Over the Summer term we will be finding out fascinating facts about life during World War One. To celebrate and commemorate the war which began 100 years ago 3S will be looking at all aspects of life.
This will be an exciting project and in the end I hope my class will understand the impact that the war had on the many families involved in the Great War.
Please feel free to send in any information about your relatives or bring in anything you feel that would benefit our learning about the experiences of those during the war.
Thank you
Mrs Spencer
Welcome back
Hello and welcome back to another half term. We had an extremely enjoyable half term and we have lots to look forward to over the next few weeks. It's book week soon and I have planned lots of interesting activities based on nonsense poetry. We will be visited by a tennis coach and will be finding out about the Caribbean Islands. We will use Microsoft publisher to make a leaflet about the Island of St Lucia.
A couple of reminders.
PE continues to be on a Monday so please remember your kit.
Homework is given out on a Friday and spellings on a Monday.
