100% Attendance Awards
Fri 01 Feb 2019Today we had 105 pupils who were rewarded with biscuit decorating for having 100% attendance from September 2018 to Christmas 2018, the autumn term. It was very apt that they were decorating biscuits to look like snowmen on a day when we have had snow. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this activity and we look forward to having more children with 100% attendance during this term. Well done, and thankyou to Mrs Shaw and Mrs Darbyshire for helping the children decorate the biscuits. -

Bikeabilty
Mon 15 Oct 2018Nineteen pupils took part in cycle training this term learning the safety implications of cycling on the road. The first day's training took place on the school yard, and the following day the bikeability team took pupils on the local roads to make sure they could put into practice everything they had been taught. Pupils then received certificates and badges. All pupils learnt a lot and had lots of fun. The bikeability team commented on how polite and well behaved all pupils were whilst taking part the training. A big well done to everyone.

The 'Daily mile' challenge
Wed 28 Feb 2018We are very excited to start a new initiative in school to keep our children fit and healthy. The Daily Mile challenge will involve all children running, jogging or walking for 15 minutes a day in order to improve their health and fitness. This will take place in the afternoon, everyday, (except in extreme weather conditions) and the hope is that all children will be able to manage at least a mile!!
I have added a link to the website so you can get more information about the initiative. We are looking forward to a healthier, happier life.
