• World Book Day

• School Bookfair

  Starting on Thursday 10th March until Tuesday 15th March, school will be holding its annual book fair. This will take place in the hall from 3.25pm -4.05pm. All money raised will go towards buying new books for school.

• Shabaz Ahmed Kit Donation

  Shabaz Ahmed (Ahmed'sDad) of Ramzan's Food Store and Post Office has kindly donated a full set of sports kit to Padiham Primary School. Shabaz is at the centre of the community and wanted to support our school and our pupils.

  We are delighted with our brand new kit and it will make our school stand out at the many sporting events we attend.

• Open Afternoon pictures

  If you go to the gallery in the children's section you will find just a few pictures from this years Christmas Open afternoon. Thank you to everyone who turned up to support the school and for your generous donations. It was another fantastic success. The school and its support continues to go from strength to strength.

• Choir Concert at Blackburn Cathedral

  Date for everyone's diary!

  Our school choir will be performing again at Blackburn Cathedral for a lunchtime concert on Monday 7th December at 1pm. We hope to see as many friends and family there as possible to support us. Please come along if you can. This is always a lovely start to our Christmas celebrations.

• Open Morning

  If you have a child starting school in September 2016 please come along to our Open Morning on Wednesday 2nd of December from 9.30 until 10.30 am to see our fantastic reception area and meet the staff. Please arrive anytime time between 9.30 and 10.30 when some of our year 6 children will happily take you on a tour of our super school!

• 2BR Recording with Tim Littlechild

  2BR's breakfast show host Tim Littlechild came into school to record the children form 3/4R and 4G singing "Sleeps 'til Santa" which will be aired on the 15th of December after the 7:30am and 8:30am news sections. Tim praised the children after their amazing performance meant that the first take was good enough to air on the radio. He asked the children to sing it again he enjoyed it that much. Well done to the children for their fantastic singing. We can't wait to hear it on the radio!

• Comic Art Masterclass with Kev F Sutherland

  As part of our prize for winning the National Whole-School Reading Culture Award this year,  we have the honour of a visit from Kev F Sutherland, the writer and artist for The Beano, Marvel and many other comics. He will be spending the day in school on Tuesday next week. Kev will be working with 3/4R and 5/6B to teach the children all there is to know about making comic strips. By the end of each session, the children will have produced a comic containing a strip by every single one of them, a copy of which they will take home. Kev will also draw a caricature of every child in both classes.

• Conlon Construction community gift

  Many thanks to Conlon construction who are currently working on restoration work at Gawthorpe Hall for their kind donation of gardening equipment, a state of the art bug hotel and an urban constant garden kit which provides seeds and plants throughout the year for our allotment area. 

  

• Foundation Stage Reading Meeting.

  Thank you to all the mums and dads who came to our reception parents reading meeting. It was great to see so many parents there. It was lovely to catch you all in our new reception classroom too helping your children in the different areas that have been created.
