Message about children eligible for a place in school January 2021
Tue 05 Jan 2021Good morning. As you know school is now only open to vulnerable children and the children of key workers where there is no other option of childcare. The DFE guidance on the definition of vulnerable children are those children who have an Education Health Care Plan and those children who have an allocated social worker. Further details and information about the criteria for vulnerable and key workers groups can be found at
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision
From Monday 11th of January we are asking all parents and carers who still need their child to attend school to book a place in order that we can prepare for the varying numbers of children coming into school.
To book a place please phone the school office by Friday 12pm every week to book days for the following week. Our school office number is 01282 772496.
In following guidance on the safe opening of schools we will require evidence of key worker status. This should in the form of a signed letter from your employer.
During this period of partial school closure, school will be open for children attending breakfast club at 8am. All other children will start at 9am and school will finish for all children at 3.15pm. Children may be picked up from school earlier if necessary. Children's usual lunchtime arrangement will still apply. Please keep checking our school website and here on Dojo for further messages about remote learning. Best wishes to everyone.
